Salons & barbers
Your salon's AI receptionist, on WhatsApp and Instagram.
FrontDesk is an AI assistant that answers your clients' messages in seconds, reads the style photo they send, books the real slot or sends your booking link, and follows up the ones who went quiet. Set up and updated for you by Denis. Built in Dublin.
Hi Niamh, I'm the GlowUp AI assistant. Claire is free tomorrow evening. Which suits you?
Simulated conversation with the GlowUp Hair Studio demo. Real free times when your calendar is connected; on Fresha, Booksy or Phorest it sends your link instead.
The quiet leak
Every unanswered message can be a booking somewhere else.
Three moments every salon knows, with and without FrontDesk.
Simulated conversations. Same clients, same week. The only difference is who answers, and when.
What it does
Book the 11pm balayage before the salon down the road does.
Your clients message about prices and free slots all day, usually while you're mid-cut. FrontDesk reads the photo they send, suggests the right service and books a real slot.
- Reads a style photo, names the look and suggests the right service and price
- Checks real free slots and books them in the chat, when your calendar is connected
- Or sends your Fresha, Booksy or Phorest link at the right moment
- Follows up enquiries that went quiet
- Remembers regulars and suggests the add-on you approved, like a treatment with a colour
- Colour corrections, allergies and complaints come to you
Works withGoogle Calendar and Trafft built in. Square by API, where the platform allows it. Fresha, Booksy, Phorest, Treatwell or any booking link.
Instagram comments
Post the look. Book the comments.
Clients comment "price?" under your posts all day. FrontDesk replies to each one in their DMs with the price and a free slot, so a like turns into a booking while you work.
glowup.hairstudioCopper tones for autumn, which one is you? Comment PRICE and we'll send you the details 👇
Simulated, based on the GlowUp Hair Studio demo. You choose which posts it replies to.
Barbers too
However they type, it gets them booked.
Slang, typos, voice notes, three questions in one message. It still gets them to the next step.
- Understands "fade sat aroundish lunchtime?"
- Listens to voice notes and replies in writing
- Books a free time when your calendar is connected
- Or sends your booking link at the right moment
- Replies in your client's own language
Bookings
It books the slot, or sends your link.
Three ways to connect, depending on what your salon already uses. You keep your booking platform.
Checks your diary and books the slot
It sees what's actually free, offers two or three times and books the one your client picks. The appointment lands in your calendar with their details.
Plugged into your booking system
On Square or another system with an open API? Denis connects it, so the booking is created in your system, where the platform allows it.
Sends your link, then follows up
Happy with your platform? It answers the questions first, sends your booking link at the right moment, and follows up if they don't finish booking.
You stay in charge
It handles the questions. You handle the colour.

Bring them back
Your quiet clients are your fastest bookings.
Everyone who booked once and drifted away already knows you. Denis sends them an invitation back, and FrontDesk answers every reply and books them in.
- Your list. Past clients from your booking system: name, number, last visit, last service.
- One message per group. Denis writes it, using your clients' last visit and last service, and sends it in small waves, not all at once.
- Every reply answered. FrontDesk handles the questions and books them back in, in the same chat.
- Stop means stop. Anyone who opts out is never messaged again.

FAQ
What salon owners ask before they start.
Does FrontDesk work with Fresha, Booksy or Phorest?
Yes. It answers your clients' questions, sends your Fresha, Booksy, Phorest or Treatwell booking link at the right moment and follows up if they don't finish booking. It does not book inside those systems itself. If you use Google Calendar or Trafft, it books the slot directly.
Can it book straight into my calendar?
Yes, with Google Calendar or Trafft. It checks what's actually free, offers two or three times and books the one your client picks. On Square, Denis connects it through the API, where the platform allows it.
Does it answer Instagram DMs?
Yes. Instagram is live, along with WhatsApp, Messenger, your website chat, Telegram, SMS, Viber and LINE. Growth includes WhatsApp, Instagram and one more channel.
Can it reply to comments on my Instagram posts?
Yes. When someone comments on a post you choose, FrontDesk replies in their DMs with the price and the next free slots, then books them in or sends your booking link. It works on Facebook comments too.
Does it work with my existing WhatsApp number?
Yes. Your customers keep messaging the number they already have. Denis connects it either to the WhatsApp Business app you already use, or through Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform, and recommends the right one on your demo.
Will my clients know they're talking to AI?
Every first message includes a short AI disclosure, as EU law requires. After that it simply helps them, in your salon's voice.
What about allergies, patch tests and colour corrections?
Those come straight to you, with the full conversation. FrontDesk does not give advice on them.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. Data is stored in the EU, consent and opt-out are built in, and a Data Processing Agreement is available on request. Anyone who replies STOP is never messaged again.
What happens if Denis is unavailable?
Your assistant keeps working without him: it answers, books and follows up on its own, day and night. A technical partner with access covers urgent changes if Denis is away, and if a channel ever disconnects you both get an email straight away.
How quickly can my salon be live?
You're live in two working days from your demo call or your order, and fully trained within five. Denis sets it up; you don't configure anything.
How much does it cost for a salon?
Solo is €39 a month for a solo stylist or barber. Growth, built for salons with a team, is €97. Scale is €149 for busy salons and groups. Solo includes two channels. No setup fees, no contracts and a 30-day money-back guarantee. You can start today from the plans on this page, or book a free demo first.
Your next client is messaging you right now. Who's answering?
Book a free 15-minute demo and see FrontDesk answer as your salon. If it's right for you, you're live in two working days, fully trained within five.
